The Beginning of Our Adventure ✨

Like so many modern love stories, Erica and Nick's began online. Nick saw that Erica was a writer and tried his luck with a creative pick up line, "The first chapter starts tonight at Butch McGuire's?" Sadly, Erica was out of town and had to turn down his charming offer.

But Nick didn’t mind waiting. Two weeks later, he finally got that first date, taking Erica to a cozy dinner at Gilt Bar. From the moment they met, sparks were flying! Nick quickly won over not just Erica, but the hostess and the waiter too, with his easygoing charm (hello, free drinks!). They spent the night laughing, sipping wine, and getting lost in conversation.

Our Journey So Far... 💕

From that very first date, we’ve been inseparable. Nick fell in love with Erica’s beautiful smile, family values, sense of humor and drive. Erica was captivated by Nick’s infectious optimism, kind heart, calming presence and ability to always make her laugh.

Together, we’ve discovered a shared passion for food, live music, and travel. We’ve spent our time exploring the world and creating the most amazing memories. We’ve also built a cozy, happy home in Chicago with our English Bulldog, Winston.

The Proposal 💍

On April 12, 2024, we took the next big step in our love story! Nick planned a surprise proposal at Navy Pier, with both of our families secretly watching from a rooftop above. It was such a special evening, and when Nick popped the question, Erica didn’t hesitate to say YES! We couldn’t be more excited to continue our journey together, and we feel so blessed to have found each other. We can’t wait to write the rest of our love story—side by side, forever.
